Dead body claimed as missing passenger of capsized launch Pinak-6 recovered from Sugandha River

A male dead body recovered from Sugandha River under Nalcity upazila of Jhalakathi on Friday morning claimed as one of the missing passenger of M L Pinak-6 launch capsized on August 4 in Padma River while plying Keorakandi-Mawa route.
Abul Khair, Nalcity police station officer in charge, said people of Magor village seeing a decomposed dead body floating on Sugandha River informed police at about 7:30 AM Friday.
Then police rushed to the spot recovered the male dead body wearing a check-shirt with white genji and white full pant and searching the pockets of the pant recovered a mobile phone set.
Police collecting the SIM (no. 01737-205428) from the mobile phone set activated that after drying and called to 01734-324926. The receiver of the phone said that the mobile belonged to Mintu Molla, 24, son of Salam Molla from Krishnadia village under Moksudpur upazila of Gopalganj district, the OC Nalcity PS told.
Mintu was a cloth merchant at Sylhet and returning to business place after observing Eid Ul Fitr at native village. He became one of the missing passengers of Pinak-6 launch capsized on August 4 on Padma river, said Abdur Rahman, uncle of Mintu.
Hearing the recovery of dead body relatives of Mintu rushed to Nalcity police station and after observing official formalities, police handed over the decomposed dead body to relatives, said Abul Khair, OC Nalcity PS.
