House wife chopped to death

patuakhali-news-mapHouse wife chopped to death and four others injured over land property dispute at Purba Kartikpasha village under Lebukhali union of Dumki police station in Patuakhali on Wednesday morning.

Police and hospital sources said house wife Hasina Begum, 45, died after brought to Patuakhali general hospital and her dead body sent to morgue for autopsy.

The injured four were Siddikur Rahman, husband, Hena Begum, sister in law, Abdur Rahim, Ali Hossain, relatives of the dead victim, said Habibur Rahman, Dumki police station officer in charge.

Among the injured first two admitted at Patuakhali general hospital and last two sent to Barisal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital in critical conditions.

Abdul Karim, brother of Siddikur Rahman said they have old rivalry with their neighbour Mannan Shikdar and his associates Sobahan, Soleman and Hanif over ownership of land properties.

On Wednesday morning at about 10:00 AM Siddik engaged in altercation with Mannan and Sobhan.

At that time Siddik was chopped by his rivals and Hena also chopped while he tried to save her brother.

Hasina, wife and Ali Hossain, Abdur Rahim, relatives of Siddik, also injured severely by Mannan gang while they tried to rescue Siddik and Hena.

Other neighbours rushed to the spot rescued the victims and sent injured to Patuakhali general hospital.

Hasina succumbed to her injures at noon after she admitted at the hospital.

Habibur Rahman, OC Dumki PS told preparation for lodging case going on and police trying to arrest the killers.
