23 submitted nomination paper for 6 constituencies in Barisal

Barisal News MapTwenty-three including 2 female aspirant candidates of newly registered political party BNF, ruling Awami League, their alliance partner Jatiya Party, Workers Party, JSD, NAP and independents submitted nomination paper for 6 national assembly constituencies to election offices to contest for the tenth national assembly election.

Among the aspirant candidates 2 from BNF, 1 from WP, 1 from JSD, 1 from NAP, 1 JP(Anwar), 7 from AL, 6 from JP, and 4 as independent submitted nomination forms in Barisal Monday , the last date for submitting for the election scheduled to be held on January 5, 2014.

As per declared schedule last date of filing nomination forms fixed as today December 2, scrutiny of filed nomination forms on December 5 and 6, deadline for withdrawals of candidature onDecember 13.

Md. Dulal Talukdar, Barisal district election officer and assistant returning officer, disclosed these facts.

Most of the nomination papers submitted before the retuning officer and deputy commissioner Shohidul Alam and some at the upazila election offices, he said.

As per constituency, two candidates Abu Hasanat Abdullah, district AL president, former chief whip and AL nominated, S M Parvez Rana, Malayasia JP president as Jatiya Party nominated candidate submitted nomination papers for Barisal-1 (Gournadi-Agoiljhara upazilas) constituency.

Advocate Talukdar Md. Yunus, district AL secretary, lawmaker, AL nominated, Prof Shahe Alam, Dhaka city (north) AL president, Nasir Uddin Nasim Haoladar as JP nominated and Mrs Sabina Aktar, wife of central JSD organizing secretary  Ujirpur upazila chairman Abul Kalam Azad as independent  candidate, submitted nomination forms  for Barisal- 2 (Ujirpur-Banaripara upazilas).

For Barisal-3 (Babuganj-Muladi upazilas) constituency historian and retired bureaucrat Sirajuddin Ahmed as AL nominated, Golam Kibria Tipu, lawmaker as JP nominated, Tipu Sultan, district Jubo Moitri president as Workers Party nominated and Syedur Rahman Sharif as independent candidates   submitted nomination forms.

Pankaj Devnath, Awami Swechchhasebok League secretary , as AL nominated, Nasiruddin Sathi, JP presidium member MY TV chairman  as JP nominated, Anjuman Salahuddin as BNF nominated, Sheikh Joynul Abedin as JP (Anwar) nominated and Golam Wahed as independent candidates for Barisal-4( Hizla-Mehendiganj upazilas ) submitted nomination forms,

Nomination papers were submitted by Shawkat Hossain Hiron, city AL president, former BCC mayor and AL nominated, Advocate Murtaza Abedin, BCC councilor and JP nominated, Saiful Islam Khan as BNF nominated candidates for Barisal-5 (City Corporation and Sadar upazila) constituency.

Major(rtd.) Hafiz Mallik, AL advisory council member as AL nominated, Nasrin Jahan Ratna Amin, JP lawmamaker, Bakerganj municipal mayor and wife of JP secretary general and present minister Ruhul Amin Howladar as JP nominated, Md. Mohsin as JSD nominated, Jahangir Hossain Khan as NAP nominated, Md. Ali Talukdar as independent candidates for Barisal-6 (Bakerganj upazila)   constituencies submitted nomination forms to the district and upazila election offices on Monday.

Mentionable Barisal district has 6 constituencies for national assembly with total 15, 30,117 voters and at ninth national assembly seat of lawmakers from Barisal-1 and 2 owned by AL, Barisal-4 and 5 by BNP, Barisal 3 and 6 by JP.
