Dr. Mizanur Rahman, chairman National Human Rights Association addressing the district conference of human rights activists on Saturday in Barguna advised the PM to keep distances from flatterers to get real picture of the situation. Four in-laws arrested over torturing house wife to death

Taltali police of Barguna district arrested four in-laws over torturing house wife Hanufa Aktar, 20, to death for dowry in Lemua under Aila-Patakata union of Barguna Sadar upazila on early Saturday. Mizanur Rahman, Taltali police station officer in charge, said Abdul Majid Fakir, father in-law, Halima Begum, mother in-law, Khalil Fakir, Jalil Fakir, brothers in-law , were arrested in this connection after severe injury signs were found on the dead body of Halima. Indian High Commissioner in Bangladesh on Sunday noon inaugurated a deep-tube-well sinking programme with the grants of Indian government at Baroitala Ferry Ghat of Barguna. A leader of ruling Awami League barred acting upazila chairman marking her as Jamat activist from paying tribute at Shaheed Minar in Patharghata of Barguna.
