Hearing of revision petition against RAB for laming Limon deferred

Hearing of revision petition lodged by Henoara Begum, mother of Limon Hossain, challenging dismissal of case against six RAB personnel accused for maiming her son, deferred for the tenth time. The case was on the regular- cause-list of the court on Sunday but the date was deferred as Advocate Golam Rasul Mannan, district prosecutor, appealed time for preparedness. S M Sulaiman, district and session judge of Jhalakathi granting the time- petition on Sunday afternoon fixed the next date for hearing of the revision petition as November 20, 2014, said Advocate Akkas Hossain, lawyer of Henoara Begum. A devastating fire burnt 12 residential and business units at Tulapatty area in Jhalakathi district town on early Sunday damaging properties worth Tk 10 million. A male dead body recovered from Sugandha River under Nalcity upazila of Jhalakathi on Friday morning claimed as one of the missing passenger of M L Pinak-6 launch capsized on August 4 in Padma River while plying Keorakandi-Mawa route. Hearing about withdrawing Limon’s case deferred again

Charges against Limon in a case lodged by RAB after maiming him not withdrawn even after twelve months of home-ministry order as hearing for withdrawal of that case deferred for the eighth time on Monday. The hearing deferred to August 18, 2014 as the chief judicial magistrate of Jhalakathi has been transferred in August 2013 and acting CJM and senior judicial magistrate Md. A school boy killed after crushed under wheels of a ‘Tomtom’, locally assembled tempo, at Barisal Sher E Bangla Medical College on Friday evening. The victim was identified as Md. Blood stained dead body of a farmer hanging from a tree recovered from Badurtala village under Mathbari union of Rajapur upazila in Jhalakathi on Thursday noon. The victim was identified as Sobahan Akan, 50, son of late Saijuddin Akan.
